Maximus-3 Off-Road Lights: Detroit-Built, Trail-Proven

If you know Maximus-3, you know them for one thing: no-compromise Jeep gear designed and built in Detroit. Their winch mounts, stinger bars, and JT chase racks are staples on JL Wranglers and JT Gladiators. But in the last two years, their off-road lighting line — built around Swedish TYRI optics — has become the sleeper hit of the catalog.

And it's not just another LED pod with a logo on it.

Why TYRI x Maximus-3?

Maximus-3 doesn't make cheap white-label lights. They partnered with TYRI, a company that has been building "intelligent lighting solutions" for heavy equipment, mining, and agriculture for decades. That means the lights are engineered for vibration, dust, salt, and pressure-washing — not just for Instagram.

Every kit Maximus-3 sells is:

  • American-assembled with a heavy-duty cast aluminum housing, vibration-dampened

  • IP69K rated — fully dust-tight and protected against high-pressure steam wash

  • EMC tested so they won't interfere with your radio, CB, or Jeep electronics

  • Salt-spray and UV tested — coating won't fade

  • Operating temp -40°C to 85°C

  • 5-Year Warranty

The Lineup

1. TYRI 1010 — The All-Rounder — $499.99 / pair

The entry to the TYRI line but far from basic. 4 LEDs, 4,600 raw lumens / 4,000 effective lumens per light, so 8,000 effective lumens per pair. 5700K color temp — daylight white, not blue. Comes as a complete kit: 2 lights, covers, Deutsch DT04-2P connectors, and TYRI decal.

Perfect for: A-pillar mounts, bumper fog replacement, ditch lights. If you're doing one set of pods, this is it.

2. TYRI 1313 — The Big Gun — $734.99 / pair

Same DNA, twice the punch. 7 LEDs per light, 8,900 raw / 8,000 effective lumens per light, for 16,000 effective lumens per pair.

If you run desert, high-speed fire roads, or you have a JT Chase/Sport Bar Bed Rack with provisions for chase lights and off-road driving lights, the 1313 is what you want on the top hoop. It throws far enough that you can actually out-drive your low beams at 50mph.

3. TYRI 0606 — The Everywhere Light — $100

The 60mm pod that solves all the weird problems. Work light, rock light, perimeter light, reverse light, ATV, motorcycle, marine — anywhere you have 60mm of space. Available in spot, flood, and diffused patterns , it’s the light Maximus-3 guys use for undercarriage, bed lighting, and cargo deck illumination.

Built for Jeep, but Universal Fit

Everything is listed as Universal fit , but Maximus-3 designs around Jeep. Their mounts (Classic Light Mount Hoop for 6th Gen Bronco, JL/JT winch plates, Rubicon stinger bar) line up perfectly without hacking up your factory bumper. They work with stock Jeep bumpers — that's kind of their trademark.

Installation is rated moderate, about 1 hour per pair , and they actually include proper Deutsch connectors and PDF guides — not just bare wires.

Should You Buy Them?

Don't buy Maximus-3 if you want the cheapest Amazon pods with strobe modes. Buy them if you want:

  • Lights that survive a Detroit winter and a Moab summer

  • No radio whine

  • A company that picks up the phone at 1-248-821-6654 and actually builds stuff in Sterling Heights, MI

They are not cheap. But like their winch mounts, they are buy-once, beat-on-forever gear. Made in Detroit, tested like heavy equipment.

Pro tip from the shop: Pair 1010s on the A-pillars for close/mid fill and 1313s on the chase rack for distance. Run them on separate switches. The 0606s make killer rock lights — mount 4 under the tub and you'll never guess where your tire is again.

All Maximus-3 lights ship free over $200 in the contiguous US.

Made in Detroit. Proven everywhere else.
