OVERVIEW

The MAXIMUS-3 Bronco Frame Horn Reinforcement Brackets kit will replace your factory nut plates that go behind the frame to add more structural reinforcement to the inherently weak factory frame bumper mounts which are prone to failure under load.  Factory/OEM frame horns are prone to fatigue failure, especially when used to mount flat towing equipment. Additionally, factory weld nuts can shear the back plates and pull through the large mounting slots on the frame horns when using a winch at pull loads greater than 8,000 Lb. 

The MAXIMUS-3 Frame Horns Reinforcement kit is made from 1/4" thick steel and is designed with pretension features to anchor the frame horns (bumper mounting flanges) to the chassis box frame without compromising the factory frontal collision crumple zones. This reinforcement brackets kit is a two-piece (inner & outer) set for each side that ties the frame horns to the main chassis box frames with four (4) heavy-duty M12 bolts. The design is pre-tensioned to eliminate stretching, which will allow you to safely use your MAXIMUS-3 winch saddle, stock bumper, aftermarket bumper winch or towing gear.

    Adds strength, easy install.

    These are obviously high quality parts and they fit perfectly. There was only one hole on both side that needed to be drilled out, which was very easy. The best part is that you are only drilling larger, so you do not have to precisely locate it. It's probably a 3/8" hole being drilled to 1/2". Very easy. This is a piece of mind modification for me, there is no glory in it. You can barley see it unless you really look for it. I plan on flat towing the Bronco and wanted something stronger.

    Even better than I anticipated

    Putting a 10,000 lb winch on my Bronco, and I read that the frame horns were a weak point for winching. After some research, I found the Maximus-3 tie-in reinforcement brackets. Holy moly are they beefy. When I removed my bumper and the old brackets, the difference couldn't have been clearer. These are heavy duty and well made. Installation was easy. I haven't done my first recovery yet, but I feel a lot more comfortable knowing these are on there.

    Excellent Product

    I tried other products that claimed they worked with the factory bumper, and, in reality, they didn't or were missing the hardware to do so. However, these brackets had everything in one package and were easy to install. These reinforcements are an important add when installing winch!
